Lewis Coray Trailblazer Awards Evening 2025

We are pleased to invite LPS members and the London community to register for our annual Lewis Coray Trailblazer Award Evening. This special event is our opportunity to recognize and celebrate the outstanding youth from London’s communities and honour the legacy of Sgt. Lewis Coray, the first Black officer hired by the London Police Service. The annual Trailblazer Award continues to celebrate his contribution to policing and to the London community.

We're pleased to have LPS Deputy Chief Treena MacSween as our respected guest speaker. As a trailblazer, Deputy Chief MacSween has broken barriers throughout her policing career, which began in 1998.

Her promotion to Deputy Chief marked a significant milestone in Canadian policing, as she is now the highest-ranking black female officer in Canada.

Beyond her operational duties, Deputy Chief MacSween is Co-Chair of the Canadian Chiefs of Police Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and is a member of the Ontario Women in Law Enforcement Advisory Council.

Join us for an inspiring night full of recognition and celebration during Black History Month.
