Each year the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) hosts an education conference for optometrists (ODs) and their staff, optometric assistants (OAs). This annual event includes one of Canada’s largest optometric trade shows, showcasing more than 75 exhibits representing all areas of optometric practice. The annual Ontario Association of Optometrists Symposium and InfoMart invites world-class speakers from North America to present a thoughtfully-curated program of continuing education lectures to enhance members' knowledge and skills and learn how to treat the often-challenging scenarios of the patients they serve.
The OAO is the leading professional organization representing over 75% of all Optometrists in Ontario. With over 2,100 members and 100 plus years of experience, OAO is dedicated to helping members provide the highest standard of eye health and vision care for Ontarians while driving the profession of optometry forward at government, regulatory and public levels. We work to increase awareness and understanding of the role that optometrists play in ensuring the health of patients.
